Q. What is the rainy day guarantee?

A. With any wedding there is always the risk that inclement weather can hamper our ability to take photographs at your desired locations. In the event that we are unable to accommodate your photographic needs on the wedding day due to weather we will provide, at no cost to you, a post-bridal photo session. Our photography contract lays out the restrictions and limitations.

Q. How many photographers will be with us on our wedding day?

A. All of our signature coverage packages include 2 photographers, associate coverage with Joseph Herr includes 1 photographer.

Q. How many photographers are on your staff?

A. We have 2 primary shooters, who are the owners of the business; regardless of the circumstances you will always receive at least one of the owners on your wedding day. We are personally vested in our company and want to ensure the highest quality of service on your wedding day. We also have 2 secondary shooters that are available if one of the primary shooters is sick, ill, or incapacitated. All of our current photographers have an extensive amount of previous experience in the field.

Q. Do you carry backup equipment?

A. In todays digital age carrying backup gear is more important than ever, we always carry extra gear to ensure that we are never out of action if something fails. We also protect your images in other ways, we backup all
of the digital files onto both a laptop and portable hard drive throughout the day, we also ensure that the laptop and hard drive never travel together, that way if something happened we always have a spare backup.

Q. How much do you require to reserve the date?

A. We require a $500.00 non-refundable retainer to lock in your wedding date. This payment is credited towards your final package price.

Q. What are your travel fees?

A. Beginning in 2011 we will be charging a .40 cent per mile travel fee for weddings and engagement sessions that take place beyond a 60 mile radius from the Toledo Metro Area. This is to cover our fuel expenses.

Q. What are your travel fees for long distance weddings?

A. Weddings that require us to fly to a specific destination require that the client book us a flight from DTW to the destination site,
and a return flight to DTW. We also require transportation and
lodging for 4 days while on location. These fees are in addition to the wedding package that you select. However, if your location were to be in Europe or any other fun exotic location we may
consider the flight/travel/lodging as fair trade for our services.


Q. Do I get full rights to my images after the wedding?

A. We grant all of our clients shared unlimited reprint rights with all of their edited images.


Q. How do engagement sessions work?

A. Engagement sessions are included with every package that we offer. They usually last 45 minutes to an hour and take place at a location of your choosing. You may wear as many outfits as you choose.

Q. If I get the digital files on DVD from my wedding, do I also get
the files from my engagement session?

A. No, however the digital files from your engagement session may be purchased for $250.00 before or after the session.

Q. What if I do not want an engagement session?

A. Engagement sessions are a complimentary benefit that we extend to all of our clients. In the event that you opt out of the session there
is no monetary reimbursement provided. We can however schedule in its place a Trash the Dress or Post-Bridal session.

Q. What is a Trash the Dress session?

A. The TTD sessions are just another opportunity for you to wear that fabulous dress once again! It also gives us the opportunity to capture images that would otherwise be impossible on the wedding day. It is a wonderful way to enhance your wedding images collection.

Q. What's the best way to have a successful TTD session?

A. We highly recommend that you schedule a hair and makeup appointment, this will ensure that you look as great on the day of the shoot as you did on the day of the wedding. If you have any props that you would like to include you are also welcome to bring them along. We have a lot of photo shoot concepts that we would love to use, so if you are feeling creative just let us know and we can work together to assemble an awesome shoot for you.
